  • Get Answers to Anything in Minutes - At Answerly.com you can ask a question about anything and their team of experts will find the answers for you in minutes. It’s way faster and easier than Yahoo Answers and much more useful. Give it a try next time when you can’t find the answer you need.
  • Facebook App: Social Calendar - A must have Facebook application for college students. It’s an easy way for students to share & organize class assignments, due dates, parties, study groups & more! Easily collaborate to find dates that work for everyone’s schedule. Get organized.
  • Classic College Pranks - College kids definitely need to blow off some steam. And there has been some classic ways to do that through the years. Take a look at some of the best college pranks that have been pulled off in the past.
  • 7 No Talent Needed Scholarships - Amazingly, you can get a scholarship for doing pretty much nothing. Here is a link to some bizarre scholarships available to college students that require no talent at all.
  • Portable Single Burner - Hot plates are banned in a lot of college dorm rooms because they can be a fire hazard. So if you are lucky to live in a dorm that allows it or are really good about sneaking it in and hiding it from your RA, this is a great appliance to have.
  • Evolution of the College Dorm - A good photo essay showing you the evolution of the college dorm scene. It shows you what it used to be like in the dorms and what are some of the newer dorm trends.

  • iPhone App: Evernote - This is a great iphone application for college students. Evernote lets you create and edit notes on the fly, snap a photo right into your account, record voice memos, and gives you access to your notes on any internet enabled computer or phone.
  • Party Ice Luge - That’s right an ice luge. This is great for drinking games or contests at your next party. You simply fill the form with water, freeze it, pop it out and you are ready to pour. Alcohol is the traditional shot used with the luge, but you can use anything.

  • Getting Your Stuff To College - It’s not really something you think about when selecting a college to go to. But if you don’t live within driving distance, how do you get all your stuff there? This is a great article to help you figure out how to fly or ship your things to college.
  • Freshmen Get iPods - Taking a step that professors may view as a bit counterproductive, some universities are doling out Apple iPhones and Internet-capable iPods to students.

  • Portable Mini Fridge - This mini fridge is a must have gadget for your dorm room. It only holds about 8 cans of soda but has some cool features. You can use it to keep things cold OR warm (great for leftovers), and you can plug it in to your car for those long drives.
  • Pandora Radio - Free streaming music that knows what kind of music you like better than you do. (Seriously, check it out.)
  • TI-84+ Silver Edition Calculator - The TI-84+ Silver Edition Calculator from Texas Instruments is the best calculator for college. The TI-89 may offer a bit more, but most teachers don’t allow them on calc or standardized tests, however they will allow the TI-84+.
  • iPod Recorder - This little handy device will save you hours of trying to decipher your notes. The Belkin TuneTalk turns your iPod 5G, 5.5G into your own personal assistant for recording memos, lectures, interviews, or conversations.
  • Free Flash Cards - Find and share free flash cards on any school subject. Browse using categories or simply search to find flash cards of interest. You can also create your own free flash cards with your name and text on them. A great tool to help you cram for those finals.
  • MynoteIT.com - On MynoteIT you can create class groups that allow you to take, search and share your notes online, track to-do’s, create an assignment calendar and group message board. MynoteIT is also integrated into Facebook so you can do this all right on Facebook.
  • Sparknotes - If you don’t already use Sparknotes, you’re probably struggling through every English paper you have to write. Just about every novel you might read in an English class is summarized and interpreted for you.
  • Bibme.com - Bibme is an online application that will generate correct bibliography entries for any book, magazine, newspaper, film, journal, etc. You can even save your entries once you register. A great tool to use when writing those last minute college papers.
  • Campus Book Rentals - A great way to save money on books for the poor college student. You can rent text books by the semester, quarter or summer terms. College students save 50% to 75% by renting them instead of purchasing the same text books.
